Staying Humble To Your Growth
This concept is new to me, and forced me to really look at myself in order to answer the obvious question; 'are you really ready for what you are asking for?'
For as long as I can remember, I've always been encouraged to pray for whatever it is I need, or to speak my wants into the universe - 'ask and you shall receive.' But, although those uplifting words are often coming from a good place; how often is that preceded by an invitation to check as to whether you are really in the right place to receive the blessings you desire? My experience is that the frequency is pretty much non existent.
Looking back, I can recall a number of things that I longed for in the past, and honestly...I was not ready for what those blessings required in order to be a positive experience. I would've struggled and ultimately misused the opportunity I had begged for.
You have been mad about what appears to be stunted growth, a lack of good in your life, and have flood your head with the idea that the universe is against you because shit ain't happening for you. Reality check - it's not happening because you are not ready for it to happen.
Did you tune into your mental health first...are you in a good head space? Are you physically able to follow through with this blessing? Do you have the time to dedicate to this right now? If you can't answer yes to those questions, then you really have no business praying on something that you are not fit for.
A hard pill to swallow, but a vital step in any journey of growth.
Any good person would not willingly invite good into their life, knowing that it will end up spoilt. Accountability and responsibility are key. This is what we should focus on first, and watch the world start to open up to us. We will bloom and create an environment in which other things flourish around us.
Heal yourself to reveal.
